Man-child, terrified

I knew that look in the eye

That look of Man-child,

Terrified.

I knew that pain

in my kidney,

that wobble that come,

From the man-child,

Terrified.

The inside of my right kidney,

The inside, edge.

The place between him and me,

The place I did dread.

The inside, edge.

And yet,

the place I would come

To know myself,

When eye met eye.

I know that look in the eye

That look of Man-child,

Terrified.

With every ounce of my being

I feel my heart,

And what is inside spreads out,

Love spread out.

He allows me to see his relief.

When i met i.
